Shoulder Rests

Shoulder rests are suggested for fiddle/violin players. They help keep the instrument in the same position each time you play, which helps develop muscle memory. They also allow you to hold the instrument under your chin without using your left (fingering) hand, which frees up the left hand to move freely from one position to another. The use of a shoulder rest will also help when working on vibrato.

4/4 Size Everest Shoulder Rest $20.00 (US only)

Extra large, rubber covered feet to protect your instrument. Nicely padded plastic body with several closely spaced holes to allow for a good fit on any full-size or 3/4 violin. 4/4 Size Wolf-Style Shoulder Rest $20.00 (US only)

This shoulder rest is similar to the Wolf brand shoulder rest, but is made by a different company with several different brand names. It is the most adjustable of all the shoulder rests we carry. Instead of holes to reposition the feet, there is a small metal bar that can be moved back and forth to adjust the size of the shoulder rest. It also can be adjusted shorter or taller than most other shoulder rests. Large, rubber covered feet to protect your instrument, and a nicely padded metal body make this a great pick! The Kun collapsible shoulder rest is made so that the feet fold up under the body of the shoulder rest, making it more compact than other rests. This allows it to fit into cases where normal shoulder rests won't. Rubber covered feet to protect your instrument.
